Day, M.S., President & Chief Learning Officer of Executive Resources-Human Potential Consultants, L.C. based in Michigan, has worked with thousands of individuals to assist them in discovering the potential within oneself. Transforming individuals and organizations to maximize potential and execute intentions, Sherry works in one-on-one, team and classroom environments to help individuals to maximize their potential and develop their innate interpersonal skills to communicate and lead more effectively.

Over the past twenty years, Sherry Day has used self-discovery assessments, relationship strategies, team building and problem solving activities to guide people to reaching their highest level of success.

To help others understand themselves, she balances a mix of knowledge, attitude and skills to help individuals achieve their highest level of performance.  As a change manager, she works with organizations to strengthen their working environment by harnessing the power of the individual through empowerment of all employees. Sherry is experienced in executive and transformational coaching, performance consulting, facilitation, developing and delivering interactive training and development sessions, and training and certifying other trainers. She has experience in a number of industries including: professional services, automotive, manufacturing, health care, hospitality, real estate, architectural design and construction, non-profit and education both in the USA and abroad. She works with many of the foreign corporations who have organizations in the Detroit area. Her own experience in business and as a business owner has given her a keen understanding of employee and employer issues.

Sherry Day is certified in a number of programs and in numerous types of profiles, including DiSC.  Using learning instruments and assessment tools, she assists individuals in learning more about themselves and how to apply this knowledge to their interactions with others. Sherry is a published author and has been featured in a number of professional and online publications. She has participated in the concept of life-long learning since graduation from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI with both B.S. and M.S. Degrees.

Walking the Talk!

One of her personal goals is to assist people in building self-esteem and honing relationship-building skills for their growth and success. Sherry was named one of Michigan’s Top 10 Business Women of Distinction, an award presented by the Detroit Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. She was the 2005-2006 President of the National Association of Women Business Owners-Greater Detroit Chapter and served as the President of NAWBO/EXCEL Board of Trustees, a 501(c )3 promoting entrepreneurial education and financial literacy for three years.

Sherry is married to Dennis Day and is mother to two daughters and three stepsons. She is breast cancer survivor and promotes wellness of body and spirit. Sherry is active in her community and has volunteered with numerous organizations, sharing her talents: Michigan Women’s Foundation, Alternatives for Girls, International Visitors Council of Detroit-IVC Detroit, Detroit Public School’s Sex Equity/Diversity Project, NAWBO/EXCEL’s Girl Biz Program, National Association of Women Business Owners (Past President, Board of Directors), St. Philomena’s Church, Midnight Golf, New Detroit Camp Enterprise and a number of organizations. She is a graduate of New Detroit’s Multicultural Immersion Program and Leadership Detroit XXVIII. She served on the Small Business Council of the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce and Comerica Bank’s Small Business Advisory Council and several other boards.

023_22AWith an interest in building peaceful relationships between citizens of the world, Sherry and Dennis are active citizen diplomats with the International Visitors Council of Detroit. They frequently host foreign guests of the U.S. Department of State in their home or businesses. The Day’s spent three weeks in Russia meeting with business leaders and entrepreneurs. In addition to working with a number of foreign corporations, Sherry regularly presents American Business Orientation sessions to foreign visitors. Sherry and Dennis Day were honored as Global Ambassadors at the IVC Detroit Annual Dinner Dance and were part of the leadership team when the International organization was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. Their future plans include moving aboard their sailboat, s/v Trillium, and cruising about the world as they continue to explore other cultures and bring mutual understanding to those they meet.
